Crysis 3 SecuROM DRM Has Been Removed After 8 Years

With a new update from EA, the SecuROM DRM Protection system has been removed from Crysis 3 nearly after 8 years of its release.

Crysis 3 is no longer being protected by a DRM

We don’t know the exact reason why EA did something. But most probably, this is due to games that are coming to the Xbox Game Pass PC version. Crysis 3 is also one of these games coming to Microsoft’s subscription service. Maybe this is just a start. Because EA Play includes many old games that contain the SecuROM DRM. And it is known as a troublesome DRM. So, it is good news to see it getting removed from games.

In Crysis 3, players return to the game as Prophet. The guy that was always available in the series. Set in New York, the city has been encased in a Nanodome that has turned this once thriving metropolis into a veritable urban rainforest teeming with overgrown trees, dense swamplands and raging rivers. Even though it is criticized because of its short storytime and lack of content, it is still worth giving a shot.Crysis 3 SecuROM DRM Has Been Removed After Years

“Seven distinct and treacherous environments become known as the 7 Wonders on Crysis 3. This dangerous new world demands advanced weapons and strategies, including the enhanced Nanosuit which provides players a tactical advantage. In addition to the powerful Nanosuit, players wield the devastating Predator bow and cutting-edge alien weaponry to become the deadliest hunter on the planet.”

Crysis 3 is not the latest release of the Crysis franchise. Recently, Crysis Remastered came out showing us the beauty of the first game of the series.
