A Twitter user named @Spideycomic7 shared the scene where Miles Morales speaks to a girl named Hailey. In this sequence, which is one of the cinematic scenes in the game, it is seen that Miles Morales speaks with Hailey in sign language.

In the dialogue between the two, it seems that Hailey is seeking help from Spider-Man via an application. We also see that in the conversation between the two, they share a common past and Spider-Man takes on a new task. So, this once again reveals that Miles Morales is a different superhero from Peter Parker, and although his costumes are similar, they pass through different points on their journey.

Marvel artist Javier Garron told marvel.com that Spider-Man has classic elements such as webs, pointy and big eyes, and a spider logo. Garron expressed that he wanted to bring new things to the Spider-Man myth in terms of design, but also wanted it to remain a part of the big picture.

“There are elements that make Miles unique as Spider-Man: black and red colors, sporty accessories, the mood of the costume,” Garron said. Garron stated that he was trying to make it up-to-date and energetic, but also to make a Spider-Man that is unique but definitely also.
