The Game Awards 2019 had 45 million unique streams

I don’t know if it sounds surprising with the current growth the gaming industry has as of now but last week’s The Game Awards 2019 ceremony had more than 45 million viewers. Which is %72 more than last year’s The Game Awards and 15 million more than this year’s The Academy Awards. While The Game Awards recorded a jaw-dropping 45 million live streams, The Academy Awards only had 29 million.

Today, The Game Awards founder and host Geoff Keighley took on Twitter to celebrate the ceremony’s success. Geoff Keighley thanked all those who tuned in and supported The Game Awards. He also gave stats about the live streams.

The Game Awards was an absolute blast with all the announcements. From Microsoft’s introduction to their next-gen console “Xbox Series X“, to Sekiro Shadows Die Twice winning the Game of the Year award, you can catch on everything that happened during The Game Awards 2019 by clicking here.
