Snapdragon 780G 5nm 5G Announced by Qualcomm

Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon 780G, which is likely to be one of the most popular processors in the mid-upper segment. It is estimated that the first phone to use the new processor will be Mi 11 Lite. It was previously announced that Qualcomm is preparing to announce a new processor in the Snapdragon 700 series and this processor will be the first 5nm processor of the series. Qualcomm, which does not leave consumers much curious, officially announced its new mid-top level processor called Snapdragon 780G.

Produced with the same 5nm process as the flagship Snapdragon 888, the Snapdragon 780G provides a performance increase of up to 40 percent with a new architecture Qualcomm Kyro 670 CPU. The processor with Qualcomm Spectra 570 triple ISP, Qualcomm Hexagon 770 artificial intelligence processor, and 6th generation Qualcomm artificial intelligence engine promises twice the artificial intelligence performance compared to its predecessor.

Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon 780G, which is likely to be one of the most popular processors in the mid-upper segment. Snapdragon 780G, which also offers improvements in gaming; Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite Gaming offers features such as ultra-smooth gaming and True 10-bit HDR with its features. The processor, which also supports the latest generation connection technology with the Snapdragon X53 5G modem, offers a 3.3 Gbps 5G connection at frequencies below 6 GHz, and the Qualcomm FastConnect 6900 Connection System and Wi-Fi 6 support up to 3.6 Gbps.

Qualcomm did not provide information about the Snapdragon 780G’s release date or the first device to be used. The predictions are that phones with the first Snapdragon 780G processor will be launched in the second quarter of 2021, and the first model using this processor will be the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite, which will be introduced next week.
