Games of Thrones: Emilia Clarke Underwent Two Life-saving Brain Surgeries

According to news today, Emilia Clarke, the actress mostlyknown as Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones, said that in 2011 almost died becauseof a brain aneurysm. Clarke was training in a gym in North London when she felta sharp pain in her head. She was quickly transported to the hospital, where doctorsdiagnosed her with subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) caused by bleeding into the spacesurrounding the brain.

The operation went well, but two years later doctorsfound a new aneurysm that required another surgery. Emilia spent a whole monthat the hospital. During her recovery the actress feared her career wasjeopardized forever.

However,Emilia revealed to be as strong in real life as in fiction and continued tofilm Game of Thrones. Moved by her own tragic experience, the actress founded anew charitable organization, SameYou, which will promote betterneuro-rehabilitative care for young adults who suffer from brain injury and haveto face a long and costly battle to reclaim their lives.

While the last season of Game of Thrones approaching, more stories behind the famous TV show are continuing to reveal. Let’s see if Emilia as Daenerys will be able to sit on the Iron Throne after defeating her brain aneurysm.
