CD Projekt RED's Cyberpunk 2077 will have a much smaller but much more complex and detailed map compared to the Witcher 3.
The producer decided to trim the overall map to building a game world that was much more intense and constantly amazed the player. The map size of the Cyberpunk 2077's much smaller than the Witcher 3, but it will offer a better experience with its multi-layered and detailed design.
Richard Borzymowski said in a statement about the game map:
"In The Witcher, we were in an open world with vast lanes and forests in between large cities like Novigrad, but in Cyberpunk 2077 we’re set in Night City. It’s the density of the content, taking the world of The Witcher and squeezing it right in, deleting the wilderness between."
The release date of Cyberpunk 2077 is set as 16 April 2020. The game will be available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
