Treyarch Investigating Cold War Bricking Xbox Series X
Some Xbox Series X users claim that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is bricking their consoles. Treyarch is getting ready to investigate.
Treyarch will try to fix the issue in the upcoming days
Ever since the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, it has major issues. Connection failures, downloading the PS4 version of the game instead of the PS5 version and many more. Even players couldn’t play offline singleplayer mode because of a server connection issue. All of them are fixed by Treyarch as of now.
But Xbox users have bigger problems to deal with. As not only were they inadvertently downloading the Xbox One version of the game, doing so would lead to the console itself crashing. Thankfully there was a fix for that small issue. But it looks like the latest problem cannot get fixed with only a small fix. Because some Xbox Series X users say that their consoles are bricking when they are trying to play the latest title of Treyarch.
One Reddit user says that playing Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War made its console crash. But he also says that he could always reboot and continue. Until recently. Now his console crashes but it does not turn on at all. This issue is worrying all of the Series X owners. Most of the users don’t attempt to play the famous franchise anymore on their brand new console.
For sure Treyarch is also aware of this situation. They looking to find a fix for this problem. But there is no exact date when a fix will appear for this issue. Treyarch has also given some recommendations that should help people avoid it for the time being. Firstly, avoid accidentally downloading the Xbox One version, as mentioned earlier. Second, disable ray-tracing. You can always get new information about the updates by visiting the official Trello Board for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
