Infinity Ward will extend Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's first season by two weeks to introduce new content, challenges, and guns
Having seasons and events in massive multiplayer games are a no-brainer at this point and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare developers Infinity Ward are not so far from the idea as they've kicked off the Season One for the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare back in December 2019.
The seasonal event was originally planned to last until January 28 but Infinity Ward stated in a recent announcement that the Season One will extend by 2 weeks. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season One will now end on February 11 to give players new challenges, modes, and guns.
"Over the next few weeks, a host of new items and challenges will arrive, including an in-game Challenge to earn the new Crossbow weapon, more remixed game modes, new playlists, and more in the Store to discover. To make room for all that activity, we are making a one-time extension of Season One – it’s now ending on February 11. During that time, there will be 2XP, 2X Weapon XP, and 2X Tier Progression to help you finish up your Officer Ranks and Tiers, and get you ready for an exciting Season Two."
