Creator of Dark Souls, Miyazaki received achievement award

Hidetaka Miyazaki, the creator of the Dark Souls series, won the 2018 Golden Joystick Awards lifetime achievement award. Hidetaka, president of From Software which made Bloodborne, Dark Souls and Sekiro: Shadow Die Twice, won the award at the Golden Joystick Awards in London. With the Souls game series, Hidetaka Miyazaki, who created his own game genre and inspired many of the games that followed, was given a lifetime achievement award. Miyazaki also gave a speech while thanking the players. Miyazaki made the following statements; “It’s thanks to you, all the players, that I have been able to carry on making games with the one simple goal of making games that are interesting. And I am so glad to have been able to make games in these exciting times with all of you.”
