Techland's long-awaited survival horror follow-up, Dying Light 2, got delayed indefinitely. The title was originally set to release in Spring 2020
Today, in a dedicated message to Dying Light community, developer Techland has announced that Dying Light 2 has been delayed indefinitely. Techland has been working on Dying Light 2 for quite some time now. Since they've launched Dying Light in 2015, the franchise has turned into a house-hold name for the survival horror genre. Not only the first title was critically acclaimed, it sold 17 million according to the sales report from the end of 2019.
You can read the full statement from Techland below.
"We were initially aiming for a Spring 2020 release with Dying Light 2, but unfortunately we need more development time to fulfill our vision. We will have more details to share in the coming months, and we will get back to you as soon as we have more information. We apologize for this unwelcome news. Our priority is to deliver an experience that lives up to our own high standards and to the expectations of you, our fans."
