Halo Infinite lead producer Mary Olson has apparently left the 343 Industries back in August.
Xbox Scarlett’s launch title Halo Infinite was announced at this year’s E3. Since the announcement of Xbox Scarlett’s Holiday 2020 release date, a lot has changed. PlayStation announced its PS5 release date, which is the same time as Xbox Scarlett, Holiday 2020. So the pressure on Xbox just got bigger. Creating an ambitious launch title for a new generation of consoles is a very tough task. And there are some concerns regarding the Halo Infinite Lead Producer Mary Olson’s departure from the company back in August.
The news actually came from Olson’s LinkedIn page. Her experiences tab showed her current job as Head of Production at Midwinter Entertainment. There is still a year until the Halo Infinite’s launch but things may not be looking great at 343 Industries. While there is no official statement on her departure, Microsoft stated that “The overall creative vision and production of the game remains led by Chris Lee, Studio Head of Halo Infinite.”
