Motorola Edge S, First Smartphone With Snapdragon 870, Introduced
Motorola launched the Edge S smartphone, powered by the world’s first Snapdragon 870 chipset. The device, which offers a resolution of 1080×2520 pixels on its 6.7-inch IPS LCD screen, has a 90Hz refresh rate with HDR10 technology. The phone powered by Qualcomm‘s 7 nm Snapdragon 870 5G chip is accompanied by 1 Kryo 585 at 3.2 GHz, 3 Kryo 585 at 2.42 GHz, and 4 Kryo 585 at 1.80 GHz. The device, with 6GB/8GB memory and 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1 storage options, comes with Adreno 650 graphics processing unit.

The device comes with a quad-camera solution that includes a 64 MP resolution wide-angle main camera with f / 1.7 aperture, a 16 MP resolution ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2 MP resolution depth sensor, and a ToF sensor. On the front of the device, there is a selfie camera with a 100-degree field of view, capable of recording 30 FPS videos in 1080p resolution of 16 MP. The device, which has additional camera functions such as dual-LED flash, panorama, and HDR, is accompanied by a gyro-EIS video sensor. The fingerprint sensor of the phone is integrated on the side of the phone.
