Since 2018’s Battle for Azeroth, fans have been eagerly waiting for a new WoW expansion and BlizzCon 2019 delivered.

After WoW Classic’s release back in August, fans have been eagerly waiting for a new World of Warcraft expansion. Even though the Classic revitalized the player base for the massively popular RPG, those who weren’t that hyped for the Classic were left empty-handed. And Blizzard gave fans exactly what they wanted at BlizzCon 2019 with Shadowlands.

Early rumors and leaks suggested that the upcoming expansion would be about Bolvar Fordragon, the new Lich King in World of Warcraft. Bolvar was a former paladin before the events of the 2008 expansion Wrath of the Lich King, in which he sacrificed himself and became the new lord of the undead. The new expansion will focus on The Shadowlands, where we saw small appearances from Bolvar in the past years.

For the first time in many years, there will be no Lich King. The brand new trailer showcased Sylvanas and Lich King fight in an epic battle. Check out the trailer below for the World of Warcraft: Shadowlands.
