Spider-Man: Miles Morales Update Adds 60FPS Ray-Tracing
Spider-Man: Miles Morales update 1.007 is now live. You can now play through the game with 60 FPS enabled along with ray-tracing.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales 1.007 update is available as of today
This new patch for Spider-Man: Miles Morales is available only for PS5. There are no similar updates for the PS4 version of the game. This is most probably because of the new performance mode that has been added to the Sony’s exclusive title with the latest patch on PS5.
Previously, there were only two gameplay modes available in Spider-Man: Miles Morales. One offered ray-tracing at 30 FPS while the other mode included 60 FPS performance that didn’t use ray-tracing. The update for Spider-Man: Miles Morales that has patched the game to version 1.007 appears to have implemented 60 FPS ray-tracing mode.
But there is a catch; firstly, there are no official patch notes for the 1.007 of Spider-Man: Miles Morales. But the screenshot below shows us that. There is a new graphics mode called ”Performance RT”. The description of this mode reads the following: “This is an alternate version of the 60 frames per second ‘Performance’ mode, adding ray-tracing by adjusting the scene resolution, reflection quality, and pedestrian density.”
So this update for Spider-Man: Miles Morales gives you 60FPS with ray-tracing, but reduces the civilians, resolution and the reflection quality. So we can tell that this is eventually in the middle of ”performance” and ”ray-tracing” mode. Spider-Man: Miles Morales is also available for the PS4. But there doesn’t appear to be a similar patch for it as of now. Perhaps, we will see in the future if such an update will be available for the PS4 version of the game. But, most probably, there will not be such an update for the PS4 version of the exclusive PlayStation title. If so, we will update this article when the update comes out for PS4.
