Developer Twin Motion confirms that they won’t make Dead Cells 2

Dark Cells was the one of the best games of 2018. The game got very good reviews from gaming media and had 90 rating in Metacritic. Fans are expecting to a sequel game for Dead Cells, but it seems developers don’t have same idea.

There won’t be a Dead Cells 2 game

Game Designer of Dead Cells, Sebastien Benard gave an interview to Game Informer  last week. In the interview, Benard said that Dead Cells won’t have a sequel.

Here is the Sebastien Benard’s statement;

“In terms of a sequel, we know for sure it’s not a good idea to dwell on your success. If you create a big hit, it’s best to use this energy to make something different. I don’t think we’ll make a Dead Cells 2. We’re more open to creating more content and opening the game up more to the community. If we did make a Dead Cells 2, it’s because we really need the money (laughs). We don’t want to stick to the same thing though, so I think if we did come back it would be something quite different, not a platformer or roguelike along these lines.”

It seems developer Twin Motion will create different games with different genres. What do you think about Dead Cells? Should it have a sequel?
