Ghost of Tsushima Will Not Get Patches Anymore
The most important factor that makes PlayStation the reason for preference is the quality of its exclusive games. Even though Xbox has started big investments recently, if we talk about 2022, PlayStation is one step ahead. However, it is important to support these games over time as well as to develop them. No player wants to learn that an online game they purchased will no longer receive updates. However, the beloved PlayStation exclusive game, Ghost of Tsushima, will no longer receive updates.
Although it is a game that stands out with its story, Ghost of Tsushima also offers an online mode. The online mode, where sword fights are held, still has a player base that cannot be ignored. In addition, the game, which is a PlayStation exclusive game and published by Sony, announced that it will no longer receive a patch. From now on, only bug fixes will be made as a result of feedback from the community.

Developer Sucker Punch released a statement and said: “While we aren’t actively working on any additional patches at the moment, we will continue to monitor feedback on the community-run Gotlegends subreddit and messages sent to @SuckerPunchProd on Twitter for any high priority bugs or issues that emerge. We want to say a huge THANK YOU to the entire community for the incredible amount of support and feedback we’ve gotten since launch. When Legends launched in October 2020, we never expected to have such an active community more than a year and a half later, and we could not be more thankful to everyone who has been with us on this journey!”
Some games don’t need new features after a point. We couldn’t wait for the update to come forever, as Ghost of Tsushima has already made itself stand out with more of its stories. The interpretation of whether the online mode still needs updates is up to those who play actively.
