Kojima divided the gaming world into two
Death Stranding, one of the most controversial and most talked about games of recent years. Death Stranding split the play press into two, while Hideo Kojima's new project was innovative, deep and unique in storytelling, while Death Stranding considered gameplay mechanics as a shallow, storyless game. The game has a Metacritic score of 83 and likewise divides the gamers. One side likes the game and the other side calls it as a "cargo simulation".
Hideo Kojima, on the other hand, understands these criticisms and the appreciation of the game. On the positive and negative criticisms, Kojima made the following statement; "This happens when you try to do something new, even in movies or games. If people are faced with something they haven’t experienced before, it can be challenging. It was the same when I first did a stealth title. But I am hoping with the support I get from fans, that positivity will spread out. And that in five years or 10 years people will look back at Death Stranding as a new standard. Then I’ll try and create something new again."
