Old Diablo games became popular again after Diablo Immortal

Diablo is the one of the biggest franchise in the world. The first Diablo game released in 1996, Diablo 2 has released in 2000. Diablo 2 was a great success for the developer Blizzard. After that game in 2012 Diablo 3 has released. While all fans were expecting Diablo 4, Blizzard announced Diablo Immortal for mobile platforms. And things changed after that.

Lots of players went back to old Diablo games after Diablo Immortal

Blizzard announced Diablo Immortal for mobile platforms in Blizzcon 2018. After that announcement, fans got really angry with them. Because fans were expecting a new Diablo game or expansion announcement. But fans did another thing and went back to Diablo 2 and Diablo 3.

Lots of players are playing old Diablo games. Especially in Diablo 2, the servers are more crowded. There are lots of returner players. Some of them came back more than ten year break. But there is something for sure, Diablo 2 community is growing. Also when you check Google Trends, you can see that Diablo 2 is entering trends after Diablo Immortal announcement. A lot of player searched for Diablo 2 and class builds. 

Blizzard made a big mistake with Diablo Immortal. But it seems old Diablo games are getting more players with that mistake. What do you think?
