30th Gotham Awards Nominees Announced

30th Gotham Awards nominees have been announced. It was noteworthy that for the first time in history, all films in the Best Picture category were signed by female directors. During the pandemic period, as the Venice and Toronto film festivals ended last September, the award season was officially opened, and the nominees for this year’s Gotham Awards were announced.

At the 30th Gotham Awards, Kelly Reichardt’s A24 production First Cow came to the fore as the most nominated production with 4 nominations. Chloé Zhao’s new film Nomadland with Frances McDormand, and Eliza Hittman’s latest film Never Rarely Sometimes Always won two nominations at both Sundance and Berlin Film Festivals. Jesse Plemons and Jessie Buckley from the movie I’m Thinking of Ending Things by Charlie Kaufman received nominations in the acting categories. The names such as Frances McDormand and Chadwick Boseman(R.I.P.), who starred in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and died in recent months, are among the nominees for the acting categories.

The 30th Gotham Awards will find their winners on January 11th
