Gavill's method acting project is hindering The Witcher's shootings

Netflix reported that The Witcher’s production has stopped for the moment because of the main actor Henry Cavill (who also played in Man of Steel, Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice, The Man From U.N.C.L.E) can not stop accepting side projects and side-gigs. Cavill claims because of his method acting process (a technique of acting in which an actor aspires to complete emotional identification with a part) he needs to attend this side jobs and improve his acting performance for Geralt of Rivia.

He even left the set without telling anyone after a scene which he was fighting with a griffin as Geralt. Cavill’s agent claimed that he signed a contract with a marketing agency and this job might require few weeks to finish completely and after that Cavill will be available for The Witcher’s shootings permanently.

Showrunner of the series Lauren Schmidt Hissrich stated ‘’We all appreciate Henry’s commitment to the character, but we can’t get through two scenes without him suddenly leaving set to mow someone’s lawn or help an old lady find her lost pan. We’re never going to finish the show at this rate.”

On the other hand, some of the cast members claims that this ‘’method acting’’ process is not improving Cavill’s acting performance so much and his acting seems ‘’wooden’’. However other cast members describe Cavill’s dead eyed-look and pompous behavior reminds them of Geralt of Rivia. Let’s see how The Witcher show is going to end up.
