The original STALKER was released in 2007, offering a beloved first-person shootout, intensely moody post-nuclear survival horror, followed by a prequel and sequel–named Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat, respectively –a few years later. A true sequel, STALKER 2, entered into troubled development in 2009, and GSC eventually closed its doors two years later, a move that founder Sergiy Grygorovich attributed to “personal reasons.”
The first game, S.T.A.L.K.E.R .: Shadow of Chernobyl was highly appreciated for its atmosphere and survival dynamics. In the explanation made with this first screenshot of S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2, we see that the first game that was released 13 years ago has been emphasized. In this statement, “13 years ago S.T.A.L.K.E.R .: Shadow of Chernobyl was released. The world did not become the same after him. Millions of players flocked to this region, jumped into unsolved mysteries, pursued treasure, fought creatures and united.” The first screenshot of the second game was shared with the statements.
