Netflix reported that The Witcher’sproduction has stopped for the moment because of the main actor Henry Cavill (who also played in Man of Steel, Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice,The Man From U.N.C.L.E) can not stop accepting side projects and side-gigs. Cavill claims because of hismethod acting process (a technique of acting in which an actor aspires tocomplete emotional identification with a part) he needs to attend thisside jobs and improve his acting performance for Geralt of Rivia.

He even left theset without telling anyone after a scene which he was fighting with a griffinas Geralt. Cavill’s agent claimed that he signed a contract with a marketingagency and this job might require few weeks to finish completely and after thatCavill will be available for The Witcher’s shootings permanently.
Showrunner of theseries Lauren Schmidt Hissrich stated ‘’We all appreciate Henry’scommitment to the character, but we can’t get through two scenes withouthim suddenly leaving set to mow someone’s lawn or help an old lady find herlost pan. We’re never going to finish the show at this rate.”
On the otherhand, some of the cast members claims that this ‘’method acting’’ process isnot improving Cavill’s acting performance so much and his acting seems ‘’wooden’’.However other cast members describe Cavill’s dead eyed-look and pompous behaviorreminds them of Geralt of Rivia.
