Final Fantasy 7 Remake delayed until April 10
Square Enix’s long-awaited Final Fantasy 7 Remake was only weeks away from release but we have to wait a little longer as it’s delayed until April 10.
By release, Final Fantasy 7 Remake might turn into a myth that never existed but I still have my hopes up for the long-awaited release of the first episode. Today, Square Enix producer Yoshinori Kitase made the announcement on the company’s official blog that the title is delayed until April 10 -it was originally scheduled to release on March 3.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake release delayed to April 10
“We know that so many of you are looking forward to the release of the game and have been waiting patiently to experience what we have been working on. In order to ensure we deliver a game that is in-line with our vision, and the quality that our fans who have been waiting for deserve, we have decided to move the release date to April 10, 2020.
We are making this tough decision in order to give ourselves a few extra weeks to apply final polish to the game and to deliver you with the best possible experience. I, on behalf of the whole team, want to apologize to everyone, as I know this means waiting for the game just a little bit longer.”
As sad as it is to hear delays, it is the best for both fans and employees. On the one hand, the team won’t have to do crunch hours, and on the other will have the level of polish we expect from the game.
Final Fantasy VII Remake tells the story of the original game. Players control Cloud Strife, a former Shinra soldier who joins the AVALANCHE eco-terrorist group as a mercenary in the fight against the Shinra corporation which drained the life energy of the earth.
The game will be exclusive for the PS4 platform until next year.
