New 4v4 Ultimate Team Mode in EA FC 25
According to reports, EA Sports FC 25 will include a new 4v4 game mode called 4v4 Ultimate Team featuring a kickoff concept akin to Rocket League and a tie-in with Ultimate Team.
For the New 4v4 Ultimate Team Mode, EA FC 25 Cancels Volta
An announcement video and early information on the football simulation from EA Sports are typically released in July. The FC 25 logo being seen on EA Sports FC’s social media profiles is fueling significant leaks that signal the beginning of this year’s EA FC 25 adventure. According to the sources, a brand-new 4v4 game mode would replace the series’ street football option, Volta.
Prior to the series’ rebranding, FIFA 20 had Volta, a more visually appealing mode with dexterous moves and customisable characters. But Volta never garnered as much interest as Pro Clubs, Ultimate Team, and Career Mode. Volta, which was unable to recreate the enchantment of the classic FIFA Street games, will make way for a new game mode in FC 25.
In recent weeks, FGZNews, FUT Camp, and FUT Police—three of the top EA FC leak sources—have revealed information on a brand-new 4v4 game mode. You will control one player chosen from your Ultimate Team club in this mode, which is played on a tiny field. The leaks indicate that this mode will take the place of the Volta experience entirely. Although the mode’s name is a little hazy, Penta and Rush are the two that stick out the most.
According to FGZNews, there will be a combined season pass for the two modes, which seem to be a hybrid of Pro Clubs and Ultimate Team. In the season pass, Penta/Rush gameplay will level up, and there will be tasks to do in order to get additional experience points.
Penta/Rush will play quite differently from the standard EA FC 25 game in a few key ways. For instance, instead of a set penalty kick, penalties will be 1v1 dribbles against the goalie, much as in ice hockey. In addition, kickoffs will include a foot sprint to the ball in the middle, much to what happens in Rocket League after a goal.
Given the amount of information regarding this new mode that has leaked, it seems likely that an official announcement will be made when EA FC 25 is fully revealed, which should be shortly. It’s not shocking that Volta was removed, but it will be fascinating to watch how gamers react to this new experience. Although it doesn’t seem like a significant revolution, this new option seems like a fun method to get more goals completed and improve the season pass. Specifically, Volta may not be as entertaining as playing on a tiny squad composed of actual players and FUT emblems.
