Weeks have passed, rumours came up, discussions have been made. And finally, it is official. Ubisoft announced the Prince of Persia Remake last week in the Ubisoft Forward event.
Players who pre-order Prince of Persia Remake will get Back to the Origins Set
First of all, when you Remake a cult game, you have to stick to the original gameplay mechanics. But not everything should look like the original game. But Ubisoft made the Remake look like the original game! Almost no graphical improvements appear in the trailer of the game.
But I must admit that Ubisoft did some good things also. One of them is that you can play the original Prince of Persia game inside the Remake. The original Prince of Persia is a 2-D Side Scroller published in 1989. According to Ubisoft, players who pre-order the game will get some cool costumes inspired from the original game.
On Ubisoft’s official website, you can pre-order Prince of Persia Remake for PC on the Epic Games Store or Ubisoft Store, on PS4, or on Xbox One, with physical copy options for PS4 and Xbox One. Also, players who pre-order the game will have access to the Back to the Origins set. This contains classic outfits and weapons from the original game. You can also switch between the modern and classic graphics filter by pre-ordering the game.
There is also Something weird on the pre-order website though. There is a drop-down menu under Editions, but only a standard edition is available. Maybe they are planning to release a deluxe edition of the Prince of Persia Remake or maybe that is just a standard thing about the website who knows? The standard edition of Price of Persia Remake can be pre-ordered now and will be available on January 21st, 2021 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
