PUBG Corporation is today announcing the start of the first season of the PUBG Europe League (PEL), the professional competition for PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS (PUBG) teams residing in Europe, Middle East and Africa, will begin from 21st March.

PUBG Europe League is beginning at 21st March

16 teams participating in the PEL will face each other over three Phases. After Phases 1 and 2, and prior to Phase 3, the top teams will go on to compete in a selection of three PUBG Classic competitions, bringing in the best teams across the world. The first of three PUBG Classics will take place with FACEIT Global Summit: PUBG Classic at ExCeL London from 16-21 April, with a prize pool consisting of $400,000. Each region will qualify teams through their various pro level competitions to compete at this first PUBG Classic.

At the conclusion of Phase 3, the top performing teams throughout the season will reach the Global Championship, where they will square off against the best of all nine global regions for the chance to win a portion of the $2 million prize pool and bragging rights of being the best PUBG players on the planet.

“We are very excited with the start of the inaugural PEL season as it represents the pinnacle of PUBG esports in Europe and it is the natural continuation of our overall esports strategy.” said Atila Yeşildağ, Esports Operations Manager at PUBG Amsterdam. “Going forward, we believe PEL will provide players a foundation on which to build their skills and strategies and fans a place to regularly engage with the best PUBG teams in Europe”
