Slay the Spire is a video game that is rogue, developed and released by Humble Bundle in the American studio MegaCrit. The game's first release was early in 2017, with official updates for Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Linux in January 2019. It was released in May 2019 for PlayStation 4, June 2019 for Nintendo Switch and August 2019 for Xbox One.

In Slay the Spire, the player tries to climb a spiral of several floors, created by a proceeding, battling with enemies and bosses, through one of four characters. The battle occurs by means of a system of collectable cards. This allows players to use deck-building strategy in the construction of a successful deck to complete the climb by obtaining new cards in rewards of battle and other ways.
