We know that Geralt the Witcher’s adventures finished. Or at least gave a break. Because developer CD Projekt Red is working on Cyberpunk 2077. As you know, the reveal of the game was a disaster. And CDPR is trying to clear it nowadays. But we learnt that they didn’t forget Geralt. The game studio announced that they made a deal with board game publisher Go On Board for a new The Witcher boardgame: Old World.
The adventure card game designed for two to five players. The game is said to have set in a world “long before the times of Geralt of Rivia”. With its video games, novels and TV series as well as the upcoming board game, The Witcher continues to offer a vast world of adventure. The players will become monster slayers for hire after completing their training at one of the famed Witcher schools: Wolf, Viper, Cat, Bear, or Griffin. In the Old World, you’ll be able to fight monsters, sign up for contracts, and even fight wizards from rival schools.
The Witcher: Old World
Developer announced the new The Witcher boardgame from their official Twitter account. They said: “The Witcher: Old World board game is coming! Created in cooperation with GO ON BOARD, the game will ask players to take on a role of witcher adepts and explore the monster-infested Continent from times long before Geralt of Rivia.”.

But this is not the first time Witcher-based board game to come along. We had The Witcher Adventure Game featuring Geralt and his various friends. The new boardgame heading to Kickstarter in May. But there is no detail as to what the buy-in cost on The Witcher: Old World Kickstarter will be. But as soon as there is more details, we will keep you informed. Stay tuned, enjoy.
