The Last of Us Part 2 Enhanced Performance Mode aims to give 60 FPS

The Last of Us 2 was a gorgeous game when it comes to graphics. But there was one flaw about it. It was running at 30 FPS even at PS5. But this is going to end thanks to The Last of Us Part 2 Enhanced Performance mode that Sony announced on PlayStation Blog with a trailer about this mode. Sony also states that this was a requested feature by the community. So, they did it!

But how do we enable The Last of Us Part 2 Enhanced Performance mode you may ask. First of all, you need the 1.08 update for this feature. This means that you will need an internet connection. Once it is installed on your PS5, you will find a toggle in the Display options that allows you to choose between a Framerate Target of 30 FPS or 60 FPS.The Last of Us Part 2 Enhanced Performance Mode Announced

The 60 FPS was more than important for the PlayStation 5 version of The Last of Us Part 2. Because the console is much powerful than the PlayStation 4. And we needed to see some reasons to purchase one. And here it is. The Last of Us Part 2 Enhanced Performance mode will let you play the game at 60 FPS. But we still don’t know if this will have an impact on the graphics.

We will most likely see videos about it in the future. As we don’t know if the game will provide us with this Framerate Target without any drops or stutters. But so far, Sony is doing good as the game is backwards compatible. This means that even without this performance mode, you can still play the game with faster loading times and higher resolution compared to the PlayStation 4. You can watch the video below to see how the game looks like at 60 FPS:
